Terms of Service

By using the Project S.P.A.R.K. application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

Access to and use of this application is subject to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

Use of the Application

This application is provided for informational and public safety purposes only. It is a supplementary tool, not a substitute for official emergency response. Fire alerts and safety information are for guidance only — in any emergency, always call 911 or your nearest fire station directly and follow the instructions of official BFP personnel and first responders.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You are solely responsible for how you use the application, including any decisions made or actions taken based on its content.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) provides this application on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that alerts, directory listings, or other content will be accurate, complete, timely, or uninterrupted — information may be delayed, outdated, or affected by factors outside our control, including network availability and third-party data sources.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the BFP, its personnel, the application developer, and anyone else involved in creating, producing, or maintaining Project S.P.A.R.K. are not liable or accountable for any loss of life, personal injury, property damage, or other loss or damage of any kind arising from or related to your use of, reliance on, or inability to use the application — including misuse of the application or delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable information. This application does not replace official emergency services, and using it is not a substitute for exercising your own judgment and following the direction of on-the-ground responders.
